Perfectly Hard-Boiled Eggs

Ingredients

12 large Eggs – if you use extra large or jumbo size Eggs you will need to add 2 extra minutes before putting them in a bowl

Directions

Place the eggs in a sauté pan or a wide saucepan with at least 3 inch high sides. The pan should fit the eggs comfortably. They shouldn’t be crowded nor should there be too much room. Please keep in mind that whichever pan or pot you are using, you will need a lid. Put the eggs in the pan and completely cover with cold water. Do not crowd the eggs. Over medium heat bring the eggs to a boil. Do NOT cover. Over medium heat bring the eggs to a boil. When the water has reached a boil move the pot from the burner and cover with lid. Let sit for 10 minutes. After the 10 minutes are up remove the eggs from the pan and move to a bowl that’ll fit them all. Place the bowl in your sink under cool running water. Let the water run for a few minutes to stop the cooking process. Remove the eggs from the cold eater and peel to eat immediately or leave the shell on and peel later for eating at another time.
