Unstuffed Peppers

Unstuffed Peppers

4 Servings

 Ingredients

1 teaspoon olive oil

1  ½ pounds ground beef

1 14 oz. bag frozen pepper stir fry – I bought the store brand with green, red, yellow peppers and onions – or you can use fresh peppers and onions

1 cup of tomato sauce

1 cup water

½ teaspoon onion powder

¼ teaspoon granulated garlic

1 ½ teaspoon granulated beef or chicken bouillon

salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

In a large skillet brown the ground beef in the olive oil over medium heat.  Stir often so the meat crumbles. When the ground beef is no longer pink remove the skillet from the burner and drain the grease. Put back on the stove on medium heat. Season with onion powder, granulated garlic, pepper and salt. Add the tomato sauce, water and granulated beef or chicken bouillon. Stir and cook on low for 10 minutes. Then add the bag of frozen pepper stir fry and cook until the vegetables are no longer frozen and tender ( not mushy). This should only take a few minutes. Taste and re-season if necessary.

  1. I used a bag of McCormick Brown gravy mix instead of tomato sauce. Turned out good. I will make this again. We liked it.
